How to Prepare for the HAJJ contnd..
- After the casting of pebbles, most pilgrims sacrifice a goat, sheep or other animal which they give to the poor then after. Sometimes keeping small portions for themselves. This ritual is associated with Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son for God. Moreover, it symbolizes the Muslims' willingness to separate from what is precious to them and to share material goods with the less fortunate.

Day 3 - Preparing for The Hajj
- After sunset, mass proceeds to Muzdalifah where pilgrims pray and collect a number of pebbles which they use to cast at white pillars. The reason for this, is that Pilgrims will remember the Story of Satan and his attempt to persuade Abraham to pay no attention to God’s command on sacrificing his son. Throwing of the pebbles is symbolic in a way where pilgrims rebuke evil seven times. It is seven because seven represents infinity.
