How to Prepare for the HAJJ
Before setting out, a Pilgrim should purify themselves by fixing all wrongs such as: paying debts, having enough money for the journey and maintenance of their family while they are away as well as preparing themselves for good behavior throughout the Hajj.Men must wear a white seamless garment called a “ihram”
which symbolizes purity. Moreover, it is an indication of equality of everyone in God’s eyes. Once a pilgrim puts on their Hajj clothes they cannot shave, cut their nail nor wear jewelry.
Women wear a simple white dress and head covering.
